Ah, I love weddings. Such happy and hopeful occasions. I was in town 3 Saturdays ago and saw about 20 Harleys (I think) surrounding a young couple who had just got married. The whole gang then got on their bikes and rode around town, honking and waving. Every onlooker whipped out his/her handphone/camera and for a moment everyone was friendly and smiling at each other...I thought, hmm, I must be getting younger because I actually wouldn't mind if Yi got married wearing a mini and boots. Just as long as she's happy...
err...im not as modern as u ma. i cant see myself wearing boots on my wedding day
ReplyDeleteWow.. you're a HOT M0m =D
ReplyDeleteHey, why suddenly you're at Marina court ? U mean U know them or just coincidently....
I didn't know that the wedding gowns have become so hip in Malaysia nowadays.
ReplyDeleteSeems like you are hippier than your daughter. Ha Ha! :D

ReplyDeleteHey Terri, I'm glad to hear that. :)

danny: casual is fitting for riding on bikes. 'sides, nobody looks at grooms. how was Shanghai?
"i say go for ur dream dress, break the bank account, whatever, it's every girl's big day."
ReplyDeleteI'm marking that.
And I'd go for a Vera Wang.
By the way, Becky Chan has already designed her wedding dress...she was going to show me when I went to her house a couple of weeks ago, lol!!! How come I never dreamt abt what my wedding day would be like, hmm? Must be you lah, I know you'll plan it all, from the way my hair will be styled, to the decos on my cake. wuhahaha
Shanghai was good. Extremely busy the first few days with work. Did quite a bit of shopping on the last day. On my last night we went to the Hyatt Hotel top floor bar, Nanjing Road and the Bund.
ReplyDeleteGot a tailored suit and three tailored shirts as well. I think my mandarin has improved significantly as most of my colleagues were relying on me to converse for them, hehe.
They kept asking me, "You look chinese but where are you from?". I've also mastered the art of saying "Sorry, my mandarin isn't very good. Can you speak english?" in mandarin.
Unfortunately didn't have time to go to the Pearl Tower. We went on the Shanghai river cruise as well. Oh yeah, took the magnetic train to Pudong airport too! Very fast.
