Hungerhunger At Tastespotting

Two weeks ago I bought the Jan/Feb issue of Savuer magazine which featured The Saveur 100--readers' fav ingredients, chefs, tools and anything food. The crab and spaghetti at No 16 looks crazily delicious: a must-do. I was thrilled that Rasa Malaysia's choice of Lingham's Hot Sauce made No. 93. As a teen, I loved Lingham's Hot Sauce (sold here as Lingham's Chili Sos) with meat pies at Max Coffee House, the only western food joint in my town. I always have a bottle in my fridge but I'm the only one who eats it, once in a while. I guess it's an acquired taste because it's as sweet as it's hot. Still, it does come in handy when I eat fried won tons and pies. I was miffed that while immersion blenders made it at No. 37, the photo was that of a red KitchenAid blender, which I coveted but my son got me a black Kenwood one instead. But my Kenwood HB 794 immersion blender is my new work horse and I hardly drag my food processor out anymore.

Tastespotting.com, a food photos site, ranked No. 11 on the list so I submitted my first photo, that of stuffed long beans (top right pic). They warned that they get thousands to millions of photos everyday and that it may take a while to be published. I sent my photo at midnight and woke up early next day to find that my photo made it a few hours after I sent it. I was thrilled! This is new to me. My daily clicks went up by nearly 500 and is still maintaining momentum. I then submitted my chao sou photo (bottom left pic) and it too was published. So for food bloggers who want more exposure to readers, send your photos to Tastespotting and see your readership jump.

Btw, thank you all who check in everyday, and those who write to me through email. I've been enjoying your presence and company even if you aren't much of a talker. It would be nice if you could tell me what you think--good or bad, I don't moderate comments.

Great that you love Lingham's too. I can drink the sauce practically. I think it's best served with Indian/Mamak fried popiah

You might also try FoodGazing.com which is a brand new site and may not be as swamped with new images.
